TEXAS —
Alliance Auto Auction has announced a new 35-acre greenfield location in Austin Texas and will host a groundbreaking ceremony in May on their brand new, state of the art 6 lane facility site.

Alliance currently has auctions located in Dallas, Abilene, Longview, and Waco, Texas.  Their newest location will be located on the northeast side of Austin on the corner of SH130 and Chandler Rd.

Tim Adams, Alliance’s CEO, said “We are excited about this project and looking forward to bringing our culture and customer service to the extreme to the Austin market.  It has been a long-term goal of mine to open an auction in Austin, and I am glad to add this location to our growing auction chain. This brand-new facility will give us the opportunity to showcase what ‘Joining the Alliance’ is all about!”

Alliance expects to host a soft opening of the auction at the end of 2019, with a Grand Opening Gala early in 2020.

Christopher “Dino” Dean, Alliance’s COO, said “We are excited about this project.  This 5thlocation will be the first of many more to come, as we strive to grow to 12 locations.”

Making Moves to Grow
In addition to the new auction, Alliance has announced several leadership changes. Bob Bannister, the former Assistant General Manager of ADESA Dallas, has been appointed the General Manager of Alliance Dallas.  Christopher Dean, who lead the building and opening of the Dallas facility 5 years ago, was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2017.  This change will allow him to fully assume his new role alongside Tim Adams as they lead this new Austin project and continue to expand in other markets.

Bannister has worked in the auction industry since 1998 when he joined ADESA Sacramento.  He spent the last 20 years with ADESA, with his most recent role as Assistant General Manager of ADESA Dallas.

Dean said, “Bob is a man of integrity and high moral character and is highly respected in the metroplex.  He brings a wealth of leadership experience and customer service to our organization which makes him the perfect individual to take on the GM role at our Dallas location. We look forward to him putting his years of experience and industry knowledge to work with us in managing continued growth and delivering excellent customer service.”

Also, Mike Bohannon, an auction industry veteran, has joined the Alliance leadership team as the General Manager of Alliance Waco.  Bohannon got his start in the auction industry in the 90’s at Fort Worth Auto Auction and later moved to ADESA Dallas, working under Tim Adams in a leadership role in the late 90’s.

Mike’s career has spanned over the last two decades on both the auction and national remarketing side of the business.  His career has included time with Americredit, Triad, Santander and Exeter Finance Corp.

Adams said, “Bo has a wealth of experience on both sides of the auction block.  His deep understanding of the remarketing industry will benefit us on more fronts than just Waco.  I am very pleased to add a man with this level of character, knowledge and consistency to our growing leadership team. I think its really great that Bo has decided to come back to his auction roots and join the Alliance family!”
